There is some very exciting news in the Workgroup Business Unit. Novell announced the acquisition of SiteScape. This is a very strong statement to the market on [...]

Daylight Savings Time - Revisted and Good News
DST issues have absolutely been the hot topic the last few weeks in the IT industry. All computers systems of any type are subject to potentially adverse affects of these changes to when DST starts and ends. For the IT Messaging Administrator, Calendars are the focus of concern. Worse case scenario, people may miss meetings [...]
Daylight Savings Time Changes
The recent changes to US and Canada DST have certainly been causing a stir in the IT industry. It reminds me a little of Y2K... Hey by the way, did that code ever get executed that said:
if (date.equals("00″))
{
missle.launch();
database.corrupt();
company.destroy();
}
Point is, while Y2K was a serious problem, I think we overreacted just a little bit on what could [...]

Opening Up the GroupWise Clients?
For quite some time now I have been considering opening up some or even all of the GroupWise clients. When I say "opening up", I am not saying "Open Source" as defined today in the Open Source community. I am referring to a model that I call "Shared Source" or "Partner Source". In fact, we do [...]

The concept was developed for Microsoft because their databases were growing too large in Exchange and they need to get them smaller. Stubbing was created to move conten...
